Thank you Wakefield for your support. It’s been an honor to serve. I respectfully ask for your support in April, 2023.

Dear Supporters,

I have proudly pulled and submitted papers to run for re-election to the Town Council.  I am immensely proud of the work we have accomplished over the past three years and look forward to making our town even better and brighter.

I bring to Wakefield more than 15 years of experience working as a public policy attorney, focusing on health-care, housing, homelessness, food access, and civil rights issues.  I formerly worked for the Joint Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture at the Massachusetts State House, working on issues related to water and air safety, farming, and climate change.  I worked at Rosie’s Place and helped low-income and homeless women.  I have dedicated my career to improving our health care laws and policies.   I have brought those experiences to the Town Council over the two past terms.

We’ve made the town more livable, from creating a transportation survey to funding a new van for the Council of Aging to having discussions with public safety and the board of health on the opioid crisis and working on a circuit breaker for seniors in town.

We’ve continued our economic development, having a great bond rating, hiring a communications director and an economic and community director and getting funding for complete streets. We’ve started the recovery out of the pandemic, including funding projects with ARPA money.

And we’ve focused on sustainability. I sat on the lake structure policy and the plastic bag reduction by-law committee. We received funding for solar panels and installed EV chargers. We created an Environmental Committee and a Clean Lake Committee.  As a town, we’ve made moves to be more sustainable with highlighting composting opportunities and progressing on the Rail Trail!

We’ve done so much. And there’s more we can do together.

Thank you for your vote in April.  Together, we will make our town better and brighter.

Onward.
